Cramer’s Emblemata Sacra, an Alchemical Heart Liber Mutus 2

by Iulia Millesima

Non Simus Parvuli ( we are not children) – we are becoming Horus’s children; Osiris resurrects as a child, the ritual crossing of the river after finding the boat.

Nec Tu Mihi, nec Ego Tibi ( neither you to me nor me to you) – the band around the head sign initiation, rope, band, the thong of his wrists, the sticks of shingles, atoning sacrifice. Sacrifice is the archetype of every human action, from which a new time develops.

Non Nisi ad Unum ( Not Except to One) – The initiate, or the deceased, is now floating inside Okeanos, with precise navigation directions, which can be interpreted as solar or lunar moments. Or wind directions, therefore of “current“. The initiate, or the deceased, is floating inside Okeanos, with precise navigation directions, which can be interpreted as solar or lunar moments. Or wind directions, therefore of “current“. Certainly, he/she is following her/his macrocosmic “magnet”. An emblem that will be the subject of a dedicated post in the near future.

Usque as Mortem (even unto death) – the soul is a twin or double composed of two parts. The altar symbolizes resurrection. Also, see An Etruscan Urn and the Symbol of the Ancient Tradition.

Cum Dixerint Pax Pax (When they say peace peace) – purification through the noise. Perhaps also a sign recognized by the adepts: Pax tibi Marce, or peace to you, Marco, was a greeting among Venetian scholars.

Non Tantum Nobis Nati (not for us alone we are born) – the soul is triple, there are three of us, so we need a triple purification, by water, fire, and air. macrocosm, microcosm, mumia. Apollo, Hermes, Hecate.

Bona Conscientia ( good conscience, awareness) – two fighting wolves stand for initiation in the Heliopolis system. If they were dogs, they could be a symbol of the goddess Hecate or Mumia—the only link between macrocosm and microcosm.

Sum in Vado ( I take possession of this land) – the initiated’s voyage: goes to the west mountain and moves upstream towards the divine river.

ΑΝΑΣΩΠΥΡΕΙΝ – Eating with the deities: Meal/banquet as a rite of communication/initiation.

Ad Utrumlibet (which one you like) – it is not the corpse to be subject to trials, but the soul.
