If he fears God, he can search and prepare the Mysterium Magnum extracting it either from himself or from the great world:
First point: He has this power hidden in his blood; in fact, into the thing by which you can prepare a tincture, there is the life of the spirit, so if you take the use, you will be taught about all the spirits under the sky shall be to your order. You get medicine to get the dead to live and to work wonders.
Second point: With urine, if you live chastely and purely, you can prepare the stone of our ancient and alkahest.
Third Point: With a healthy man’s urine and feces, you can prepare the Opus Magnum.
In this way, we will prepare our extases or secret operations. The most important is that with the blood of a holy and God-fearing man, who has detained his virginal spirit and the treasure of purity or that, honoring God, has kept away from carnal pleasures for some time.
Ask this person a pound of blood, pour it in a short alembic, and put a helm on it ( note by Archarion: which matches almost exactly to our current refrigerator). Place the alembic in a cinders balneum, add a gathering container, and distill until dry. Take care the residue doesn’t burn, so be careful. Once the distillation is finished, take the helm off and pour it all again; once more, put the helm on, secure it very close, and add the gathering container. Completely distill again, pour again, and repeat seven times. Finally, during the seventh distillation, give a strong fire to make the animic salt rise. In this way, you will shake all the seven qualities of the seven original animic spirits in their center or red earth and have raised their volatile parts. The corpus ( note by Archarion: residue) with the glass put aside. Pour the risen liquor into another clean glass, put it in B.M. (note by Archarion: Balneum Mariae), distill the spirit cautiously in the gathering container, and be careful.
When significant, greasy, and oily drops begin to pass, remove the gathering container and keep the past spiritus in a large clean glass in a cool place. Put another gathering container and keep distilling, so the oily phlegm can pass. Then, when it turns yellowish, remove the gathering container with the phlegm and keep that too. Place another gathering container and distill the acetum, add it to the previous spirit, or pour them together, as the thing has its reason. Take the phlegm, pour it on the residual corpus, and extract all red. Pour all the clear solution together in a little retort, place it in a cinders balneum, and distill all the phlegm. Then plug the little retort and put it aside together with the liquor. Remove the phlegm, take the corpus, and get it carefully calcined in a crucible preventing extraneous substances from falling into it. Pour on the phlegm and put them putrefy together for four weeks. Then pour them on the residue with distilled water and extract all the salt. Pour the dissolved salt and the phlegm in a little retort, place it in cinders balneum, and distill the small phlegm until the salt remains. remove the phlegm. Then to the salt in the little retort, add the other extracted one, which has already been passed with the distilled water, and extract. Pour again on the salt over distilled water and extract; this way, some new feces will get settled (precipitated wastes); decant the clear and clean solution, and distill all the humid till total dryness. Then take this salt and grind it well in a clean vessel, put it in a wide and flat alembic, and pour over the previous spiritus and acetum, which are set together, as also the red extract and one part, or half, of phlegm; place a well soldered blind helm and have it to putrefy for two-three days and two-three nights ( note by Archarion: today instead of the blind helm it is used a refrigerator made by a little glass spiraled pipe which has been melted in a glass casing). Then take the alembic and put it in a cold place, so crystals form. If the crystals do not form, take the alembic, place the helm on and distill a little; protect the distilled, and take care nothing extraneous may fall inside; put together the alembic in a cold place, let alone for a while, and in the end, the crystals will form. Then decant all the clear liquor in another clean alembic. And pour over the salt and other phlegm which has been extracted, shake quickly, and add phlegm again to the liquor to dissolve the salt a little. Remove the crystals carefully, place the alembic in the cinders, place the helm and the gathering container, distill a part of the phlegm, and put the alembic in a cold place so that other crystals will form.
Take them. Repeat the operation till all is crystallized, and nothing more will remain as useless phlegm waste. It is not all useless, so remove it and put the salt together. Now you have the real vitriolum microcosmi, sal sapientiae, sal mysterii magni, and even the real Magicum. When you have prepared that by yourself, you will be able to work wonders;, if, in magic, you don’t have this salt, you can do anything well. With this prodigious thing, you can take action on humankind and animals; however – as you have been already told – you go on with the Highest strength. ( note by Iulia Millesima: you should have understood the process involved: we have to volatilize salts to get our Mercurius. And that to all insoluble salts. Testamentum authors have also revealed the number of repetitions necessary for our Mercurius to appear, at least seven).
Now that you have prepared the crystals, you have three ways before you get them fixed and prepare the lapis medicinalis.
First way: take the crystals, put them in a phial, close tight, as we will teach you, by melting the glass, place it in B.V. (balneum vaporis – vapors bath) till the crystals get liquefied and become a liquor: When they have liquefied, open the phial, pour the liquor in a little retort, put it in a sand balneum, put on the gathering container, distill what want to pass. If you cohobate ( distill over and over the distilled) till to make it all raised, you get actual spirit water of unique quality. Add to this water some well subtly ground and pure gold, as much as gets dissolved. Decant this solution, divide it into two parts, and put them in little glass and clean vessels. Take the residual earth (the precipitate) from which you have reached the salt: take care it is still pure, get it calcined again, put to weight, and when it weight 1 drachm (1/8 ounce), put it into a phial and pour over half your liquor, seal the glass, place it in the athanor and let it to take all the colors until becomes fixed (steady). Then remove it, grind it well and put it again into another phial and imbibe ( that’s to say, wet with a part of the residual gold solution) till it becomes a thick liquor. Then close the phial and let it take all the color again. Repeat this operation again till you use up all the liquor; in this way, you will make the lapis medicinalis get steady.
Now, this is a long work. To do better and quicker, you can operate in the following way: when your crystals are liquefied, they become liquor; take the earth you have prepared, put it in a little retort, pour over half the liquor, put the little retort on cinders and distill what wants to pass ( note by Archarion: here you cannot burn or spoil the matter), pour again the distilled. Repeat: tie well the gathering container and distill again, pour again, and repeat till anything more will raise. Then place in the sand the little retort and repeat your distillation till all the residue is fixed. Take it and have it ground very well, put it in a little retort again, and then in the cinders, after having poured over the half (second half) of the liquor, set well the gathering container and distill cohabiting again till nothing rises. Place the retort in the sand and repeat your distillations till the residual substance gets fixed. Repeat the operation with the third part of the liquor. When all is fixed you have again the lapis medicinalis microcosmi, which is the quickest way.
Third way: You can operate also in this way: take your crystals, liquefy them in their phlegm, and distill the phlegm till you think they can form. If you put this solution in a cold place, form crystals are much more beautiful than before. Take them and repeat the operation till all is crystallized; then have the crystals liquefy again and do what I have taught you until all crystallize again. Repeat the operation till they “flow” in the fire without fume. Then weigh them and have four drachms to be ground in a clean mortar with one drachm of very pure gold; put both in a phial, close by melting and make them pass through colors in our athanor till the fixed color: crystals will get liquefied, incorporate the gold and get stable together in a very short time. So you have again the lapis medicinalis, a regenerating medicine of great strength.
If you want to improve metals, take your lapis fixus, grind it well, put it into an alembic of clean glass, pour on the super rectified spirit of wine, and extract all you can extract. Pour the clear solution into an alembic, and distill all but a red salt which coagulates and becomes fixed. In this way, you have the medicine which works on metals, a much more effective medicine and penetrating, and the mysterium magnum is again able to be efficacious on both man and metals. You have to know that the lapis medicinalis, any reign the matter from which it has been prepared belongs, doesn’t enter any metal if before has not been regenerated for the third time; that’s to say, as I have already said, so the feces ( since they are not necessary) get separated again before that from the pure solution gets redistilled the spirit of wine, which then coagulates, the lapis is liquefied in the spirit of wine and extracted at least three times.
Everywhere admirable.
The prodigiousness of the Great Spirit is ineffable and inscrutable. The man keeps internal and external life alive through the created things; feeding with them, he takes the spiritual quinta essentia. Consequently, he is joined with Eternal Spirit and becomes Spirit and Life. But if he has low inclinations, he is carnal, and in created things, he looks for his pleasure; instead of a blessing, he gets cursed because he doesn’t use the created things gratefully and doesn’t offer in turn to the creator the strength of the creation. Such a man is far worse than an animal and makes of himself a beastly being who is going to remain such for eternity.
Man is instead joined to the Great Spirit in the strength and drinks from the source of the Verbum Domini, the real manna of life for his need for food. Now, if you follow the Lord your God, you can do with nothing things that for normal humans are impossible. So please pay close attention to what I’m going to teach you, that’s to say to do things starting from nothing. The world will not and cannot understand that you satisfy your hunger with a created thing filled with life’s spirit. Now, when man benefits from it, extracts from created things the quinta essentia, both spiritual and material; with the remaining, he does a thing the world looks as null, better has revulsion. Nevertheless, the wise and the enlightened by God don’t turn it down because they know there is hidden inside a strength with which they can work wonders.
Now if you are healthily joined to God, remember the following teaching:
In spring, when the air is filled with spiritus mundi, drink wine and eat bread ( with whole grains) and no other food, except some water, like Melchizedek, keep away from pleasures of the flesh, sanctify joining to the Great Spirit and stay with Him with a quiet mood; then gather your urine in glass vessels of 30-40 sizes. Place it under the sun in well-closed glass or stone vessels and let it quiet for three months or over. But there must not rain into. They take your urine, pour a part in a great retort, put it in sand balneum, and place a great gathering container on it. Distill among many colors the spiritus mercurialis microcosmi; pass all the colors, and remove the gathering container. Pour the spiritus into another clean vessel, place again the gathering container, and distill half the spiritual phlegm: Set aside that one also. Make evaporate the residual liquor till getting the honey texture; then do the same thing with all the remained urine: That’s to say make, evaporate first its spiritus mercurialis volatilis, then the volatile phlegm and then the remaining smelly phlegm till it gets a thick brown juice. Then take all the obtained juice in a stone retort, place it in an oven where you can control the gradus ignis ( fire temperature), distill all and increase the fire to make past vinegar. Don’t worry about your matter melting in the retort; it is too much terrestrial. Separate the past liquor, take off from retort the caput mortuum, grind it very well and put it into an alembic, pour over all your spiritual phlegm, and place the alembic to putrefy for four weeks at a moderate heat. Then distill its spiritus volatilis from and high alembic, which has a suitably wide helm; during the fourth and fifth rectifications, almost deposits in the form of white salt, which tends to displace the helm; for this reason, the helm must be wide: After having rectified your spirit, put it in a large vessel with its sal volatilis. Rectify also the remaining phlegm and keep it safe. Then take the remaining liquor, distill it in a retort, and set it aside. Then take your caput mortuum, which has been in putrefaction, and thoroughly filter to achieve a perfect filtration. Pour this clear solution in a retort on the sand and carefully distill all the phlegm but the salt. Take this salt, put in an alembic, and pour over the azoth (vinegar), the spiritus and a part of the spiritual phlegm, and exactly as much phlegm as spirit. Before doing the operation mentioned above, others distill the extracted salt’s phlegm, letting in the retort a quantity equal to that of spirit, which they add. Lastly, they add the vinegar and make it together, digesting for four days and four nights in a well-closed and sealed retort. Then they place it in a cold place, to make crystals form; when they think the crystals are not going to form anymore, decant the liquor and take the salt.
They deprive the remaining liquor of phlegm and place it again in the cellar so new crystals form again. They go on like that till no other crystals form. Then put all the crystals together in a glass and make them dry little by little; they also eliminate the phlegm. Others pour on the crystals just a few phlegms, in this why the crystals don’t get liquefied in it, and put the glass at moderate heat: then make the solution get chilled, pour it into a clean glass, and put it in a cold place, so crystals much more beautiful than the previous ones do form, which they take away again; and repeat the operation till the crystals are pure. In fact, through these solutions and crystallization, they become perfectly stable and get impregnated with spiritual phlegm. They take half of these crystals, close them in a phial and fix them after having ground them with pure gold; with the other crystals, they complete the work.
Some others otherwise close the crystals, put them in a vapor balneum, and get them to liquefy alone; then distill the liquor by cohobation. Pour this liquor on the mercurius vivus and distill it by cohobation until the mercurius vivus is distilled in the quantity of liquor that matches its weight. They pour this liquor alkahest on gold and carry out the work till perfection and in the best way.
You, too, can do this way: it is enough you take these crystals, put them in a retort, place the retort in sand balneum and distill a spiritus. Then, if the retort is still entire, pour the spiritus again and distill it by cohobation. Then pour it on the mercurius vivus and continue as I have taught you. Nevertheless, this is long and dangerous work, so the best method of all is the following: take your crystals, and after having dried them in an alembic, do weigh them; grind well a pound and mixed to them a pound of purified mercurius vivus till they all become a unique mass: Put this mass in a high alembic ( long neck glass) and put the alembic in sand balneum; place on it a helm, light on a fire which can allow the sublimation and which you will always keep at the same level. In the end, all will rise. Then take the helm off and collect all which is sublimated. Grind with it what has remained in the alembic and add to what has been distilled. Then put it again in an alembic, place it in the sand, set a helm on it and a gathering container, and sublime again. Repeat the operation till all is sublimated but a few feces. Then sublime the whole other two times and always remove even the drops which rise together as long as you need that. At this point, you have two possibilities again: the dry and humid ways.
If you want to follow the dry path, do it this way: take 6 ounces of your admirable hermaphroditic salt, the sublimated one, and with it, grind 1/2 ounce of pulverized gold, place it into a phial, put the tightly closed phial in our athanor, in this way the varied colors get produced. Passed all the colors, take your lapis, get it well ground, and grind one ounce of your admirable salt with it. Place them together into a phial again and let pass all the colors. Repeat all the operations till your salt is all consumed, so you have again the lapis medicinalis.
if you want to follow the humid path, which is not that dangerous do this: take your sublimated well ground, place it in a glass bowl, place it in a humid cellar, and take care nothing falls into; in this way, the sublimated will liquefy and become a liquor in a short time. Pour this liquor and what has been distilled in a retort, place in a sand balneum, and distill by cohobation. Then put it into an alembic to which you will set a helm, and put the same at moderate heat, so the liquor will transform and become pure and limpid. And here, ready the famed alkahest of unique quality. With that, you can open gold little by little and make them pass through colors to get the tincture. This path is secret and hidden and is precisely the one you should use. Be blessed with the Saint in Israel who has considered us worthy of this great secret.
One can also follow another path, provided that you have prepared the spirit, vinegar, and spiritual phlegm – as I have taught you – and the salt, which must be well-dried. Do weigh the latter and grind accurately one pound. Now I’m going to reveal to you a prodigious thing. Take the magnesia or bismuth; if you don’t have some bismuth, even if this would be the best, take a mineral of the red gold, also of that one pound, grind it very well, mix with it, and liquefy them together in a good crucible. Then take the substance, which you will have left to chill down, and crash it very well; place it in an alembic, pour over some phlegm, close the alembic, and put to putrefy at the moderate fire for four days and four nights. Then remove the alembic from the fire, let it chill, and pour the clear solution into another alembic. Pour again on the substance a part of the distilled phlegm and repeat the entire operation till all the salt is extracted. Pour the limpid and clear solution together in an alembic; put in the sand, place the helm, set the gathering container, and distill till all is dry. Then pour the phlegm into the salt again and extract again; other feces will form. Pour again in an alembic or a glass retort all the clear extracts, but a thick salt. Pour the spirit as above rectified and the azoth, let them digest well closed together for four days and four nights, then put them in a cool place and wait for the crystals to form. Go on like that. When all the crystals are formed, you note the same thing that has already been told; these crystals have many colors and are far better than the previous ones. After they have been joined to gold and passed through the colors together, they obtain an excellent lapis medicinalis. In the final work, the substance energetically expands.
As for the Opus Maximum, it consists exactly of the same operation, but here they also take other two things.
Some take just urine and feces and let putrefy together, while others add some to them and also some hairs. After making them putrefy for some time, they also separate the spiritus, azoth, sulfur, and salt. If you want to follow this path, operate only with vitriolum microcosmi, so follow a quick path. If, instead, you want to cover the salt fixum with azoth and spiritus, follow a long and dangerous path. Otherwise, it would be best if you did it regularly, as I taught you. Nevertheless, I recommend taking only urine and feces. You can transform your sal fixum into metal if the smell doesn’t repulse.
Now let’s consider the chaotic universal salt God assigned to earth as a magnet, our father Hermes says: ” The creatures of here below are companions of those that are above and these in turn to those. And as all have been born by the Word of the unique Creator, so by the law of nature all the things are being born by this unique thing.”. That’s to say: what the Highest has put in the earth is the beginning and the end of all the things, the “fiat”. Old Saturn (Archarion’s note: the earth and its coagulating magnetic force) brings in the womb a son brought to life by what is above. This giver of life is the universal spirit that hovers and is attracted by the magnetic salt, so it multiplies itself and comes all that our Creator gives birth.
Its father is the sun and its mother the moon, the air brings it into the womb, and its nurse is the earth. All the things that have happened and are going to happen have begun from these two, from the sun and moon; so he says: causa omnis perfectionis ea (res) est per universum hoc, its signum is: quod est inferius, est sicut id, quod est superius et vice versa (5).
